Chapter Six

Robert and Clara drove straight from their carpark to LAX, where Clara had already arranged for a private plane to be waiting under a presidential order. Robert knew he’d opened a bag of worms by joining this parade once again but these luxuries and feelings of superiority always eluded him.

After they boarded the plane, it took off without much delay and they began their five-hour journey back to Washington, DC, to speak with the President and the few others that knew what was going on here about all that they had discovered. In the meantime, Robert sat back and formulated a plan. Something crude in design but he knew it was going to work nonetheless.

When he figured out just what he was going to do, he spent the last three hours of the flight following Clara’s lead and taking a nap. There wasn’t going to be much sleep with the President’s life at risk, so he knew he had to take it where it came.
